First Steps Early Learning Center is exactly that, a center where everything we do revolves around learning! One of the best ways to set your child up for success in life is to select a child care center where learning is the center of each classroom. Our passion at First Steps is to create an atmosphere where children learn about the world around them with excitement and eagerness. We know that learning needs to be fun! Our center utilizes Creative Curriculum® and each classroom is tailored to each age group’s level of learning. Our classrooms all include a library and quiet area, an area for arts and sciences, a place for dramatic play, and an area for manipulative learning. Creative Curriculum
The Creative Curriculum® includes developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children within four main categories of interest: social/ emotional, physical, cognitive and language. The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool is one of the most widely used pre-K curricula in the nation. It’s comprehensive, research-based, research-proven, and it features exploration and discovery as a way of learning.
Big, Big World
Not only has First Steps Early Learning Center invested into the best curriculum in the nation, but our teachers are going a step further and are creating a curriculum program and administration process called Big, Big World to effectively administrate the curriculum. This program will ensure that the Creative Curriculum® is being utilized to ensure the best educational opportunities for your child. Our teachers have created a comprehensive and cohesive teaching program that allows all classrooms to be learning about their Big, Big World at their age-appropriate educational levels. Its comprehensive approach combines circle time, playtime, art, and language development in a well-organized theme for each day and week. Our teachers love to see our students increase in knowledge and begin to understand more about the world they live in.
